Ephesians 4:23-24 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Ephesians 4:29-29-30 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the of redemption.
Ephesians 5:4 Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving.
Making crude jokes of what God has commanded and making light of them,
is not only dishonoring the Lord, but it is Demonic. And that needs to hit
Excellent short and to the point concerning Ephesians 5:23 I love humor, but this form that usually downgrades the head of the household is not a joking matter. That goes with others “joking” about the wife is ALWAYS right. Always be aware of the “jokes” that degrade, just to be “funny”, which are not! James 1:19, Be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger.
This was excellent. Dismissive comments like those shared turn men into beta males and make life harder for women, especially subsequent generations. Your comment about honor is so important. A man’s motivation to sacrifice to provide for and protect his family is deceptively subtle and should not be taken for granted.
