As much as I agree with the perversity of allowing men to compete in women’s sport I would like to pose a more basic question - why on earth would a woman want to compete in a boxing match against even another woman where the intent of either party is to knock seven bells out of their opponent? How does this even begin to square up with Gods description of a Godly woman?

Sadly we have moved so far from Biblical norms that anything goes and the whole feminism debate and the example quoted here only reinforces that ‘in those days every man did what was right in his own eyes’.

Good stuff. The issue here is not that this person transitioned or not. And I regret for their sake, whatever sexual development issues they have. Sucks. Messed up world.

But. That doesn’t make it right. We have to stop setting policy based on the exceptional case, to make things fair for them, and unfair for entire else.

So in this case, this person should not be able to fight, or should fight men, as their biology is much more inline with a man.

Regarding women’s boxing. I tend to agree with you. However, at the same time, I would not try to force women into a completely harmless mode of being, which I think is the stereotypical image when we think of the more conservative godly woman.

I’ve taught both of my daughters to shoot, given them instruction in defense, etc. As bad as it may sound, if required and necessary, I want them to be able to cut a throat, I don’t want them shutting down physiologically in the face of a wolf intent on harming them.

And should their husbands consider something stupid at some point, they will have to consider it carefully.

Now. That said. The issue for me is that we shouldn’t have made a public spectacle of women’s combat. I think this is only going to further degenerate our culture. My opinion.

And yet though we may have asked for it and opened the door to what happened yesterday by allowing the combat (women’s)to begin with, every instinct in me says a man should not be beating a woman.

Just because you start down a slide doesn’t mean you can’t grab the rails and stop before you reach the bottom. It’s a no for me. Full stop.
