I’m standing and applauding this article (for those who aren’t able).

Haha kidding, but seriously this articulates well what I’ve been trying to piece together in my own thoughts. Well done!

"It's all about ME!" This seems to be the clarion call for many today. While Jack Kennedy's words did not come from the Bible (although the thought of them is clearly there), today's culture could surely use a strong dose of, "Ask NOT what your country can do for you. Ask what YOU can do for your country!"

Great article Jack! Thanks.

Choose wisdom. You were designed to either bare children or fight to protect children. Don't waste your time playing video games, ask her out. Don't be a bratty adolescent: be the confident young woman worthy of a Christian husband.

Pray. Make better decisions. You'll find that special someone.

Just was thinking about this some more. Jesus used broad brush statements all the time. He called out the Pharisees and lumped them together all the time. Does that mean that EVERY single Pharisee was evil. No. There are indications that a few of them were not, such as Nicodemus. But the majority were, and the Bible assumes that we are smart enough to figure that out. Fast forward to today, and we often hear, "You're painting with too broad a brush, Preacher," in defense of various sinful groups and lifestyles.
