I am a grandmother and I have a Substack writing about ways that grandparents can have an impact on their children’s faith. I need to do more for my own grandkids.
Evangelical passivity is a problem in general, especially as it relates to Christians impacting culture and politics. In this sense, the Christian nationalist label seems to be deployed in order to tarnish any collective action on the part of evangelicals. People don’t realize how openly supportive of the patriot cause pastors were during the American Revolution.
This is so true “ For too long we have been lax about sin in the pews, and it shows. The world impacts us way more than we impact it. We shouldn’t need God to send persecution to do the job we should already be doing.” But this comment is more of a result of there being very few kids in general “ The youth dropout rate is inarguably the biggest problem facing the church, but any time the subject comes up, someone is quick to correct me that nobody can make their kids be faithful.” People simply aren’t having kids. It’s a symptom of depopulation.
