As a woman, and not a shrinking violet kind, I agree with your assessment. And I also agree with the interpretation of the Scripture…. Not that it makes it any more right obviously!
I love this, Jack. Whenever I observe couples who have been married for 30, 40, or 50 years, they usually have this in common. They loved and served each other by living out their God-given roles, and their families were blessed. It's not complicated, but we sure make it difficult.
I’m in full agreement, Mr. Jack. My husband and I have different roles, different strengths, etc. Everything just works so much better when he leads and I follow. It’s great 😁 and much less anxiety producing when I stay in my own lane….
As in Star Trek, he is the captain (Picard) and I am my husband’s “number one (Riker.)” 😝
Old Star Trek stuff… original Star Trek… The Next Generation… Voyager… not this new woke stuff… I don’t even watch the new stuff because it’s just so profane. 💩
I understand that many women fear that their husband will lead selfishly rather than unselfishly. I would claim that the time to worry about this is prior to engagement and marriage. Premarital counseling should focus on the balance that you pointed out already exists in scripture.
Getting married without any shared idea of roles will produce anxiety.
"It’s an open secret that many congregations are steered by a handful of women whom the supposed leadership is afraid to cross." Yes, and often these insubordinate women groups are lead by an Elder's or Deacon's wife. "We'll submit to the Elders oversight when they do precisely what we've told them to do!" Great article, and very true points. It boils down to a lack of respect for God and an unwillingness to submit to Him, His Word, and His ways. The Feminist movement is destroying the Church, the home, and the culture in America.

God Bless 🙏✝️🙏
I'm not a Star Trek guy but that sounds about right! haha

Great analogy!
Thank you for saying the quiet thing out loud.

Great, needed point
