The religious world around us teaches that Jesus did things in our place - and that he did things so that we don't have to. For example he was obedient in our place, and that he was perfect and righteous so that we don't have to be. But this is not what the scriptures teach us, he is our example and we are to strive to be like him as much as we can. This is what disciples do, they copy their rabbi/teacher. ❤️
The Proverbs are part of the Bible's Wisdom literature. Jesus asked, "Who then is a faithful and wise servant?" Someone who soaks in wisdom would fit the bill. Your advice is good: Read more Proverbs. You’ll be glad you did.
All of God's Word is truth. Amen. Jesus and His ministry in the Gospels is the fulfillment of Old Testament lessons. All truth, from Genesis through Revelation is God's breathed Word.
Yes, Proverbs is a slow to read boook if any thought goes into each verse.
