This is really well-put. It shouldn't be controversial, but I know in our society it often is. You brought a lot of clarity to the issue, and I had a thought while reading this. Analogies can often help people see some sense. We elect people to government positions and they make decisions that affect everyone else (often with the help of voters, but not always).

Is the fact that they "rule" automatically dictatorial?

Is the very existence of authority structure a bad thing?

Does it imply that one person is inherently superior or of more value?

Anyone who answers yes to these questions is considered an anarchist. They're going against the grain if they say that. And yet, when you apply it to a household instead of a nation or state, that grain suddenly switches.
